Limit stimulation. A crowded and messy childs bedroom is highly disruptive to sleep patterns—even with the lights off. Plain and simple, chaos causes sensory overload which leads to anxiety. Keep toys, clothes, and other supplies in covered boxes, baskets, or cupboards to avoid overstimulation caused by clutter. Plus, enforcing a screen-free-bedroom rule will eliminate that potential distraction as well as brain-stimulating blue light emissions.
It is no surprise that children spend a lot of time in their bedroom. Used for sleeping, playing and working, it follows that their space should be a reflection of their little personalities. Still, as Yvadney Davis told The LuxPad in her guest post, it is easy to get lost in the world of childrens interiors. We asked 27 experts to showcase their favourite childrens bedroom and to help us recreate the look at home. Stylish, practical, fun, cosy and comfortable – our selection of childrens bedroom decorating ideas will keep the kids happy from toddler to teen and all ages in-between. Time to release your inner child.
